Giving Tuesday - december 2

Your Gift. Our Creative Future.

Give today and be part of the arts.

When you give to SCA, you’re doing more than making a donation. You’re joining a movement.

Everything that happens within its walls — every exhibition that sparks imagination, every class that unlocks creativity, every event that brings people together — exists because the community believes in it.

Your support means artists can share their vision with the world. It means musicians can let their voices soar. It means our community continues to have a home where connection and culture flourish side by side.

At its heart, SCA is more than a gallery. It’s a gathering place, a vibrant intersection where art, culture, and community meet. And it thrives because people like you choose to make it so.

Your gift keeps keeps that spirit alive and as part of our Giving Tuesday fund raising campaign, our goal is to raise $100,000 by December 2.

Give today and be part of the arts.

Help Us Build the Next Chapter of Sausalito’s Creative Legacy

The Sausalito Center for the Arts (SCA) has already transformed a former bank into a vibrant, welcoming home for the arts — a place where creativity thrives and community gathers. But our work isn’t done yet.

With your help, we can complete Phase 2 of our buildout and fully realize our vision: a dynamic, multi-use venue that showcases the best of local and regional art, fosters collaboration, and keeps Sausalito’s artistic spirit alive for generations to come.

What We’ve Achieved Together

In 2022, we launched our first capital campaign to bring this long-held dream to life. Because of our generous donors and supporters, Phase 1 transformed a vacant bank into a functioning art center — ready to host exhibits, performances, and events of every kind.

Your support made it possible to:

  • Remove outdated teller stations and glass offices.

  • Repaint and refresh the interior spaces.

  • Upgrade plumbing, electrical, and fire safety systems.

  • Install new audio/visual equipment and furnishings to host art shows, performances, and community gatherings.

The result? A beautiful, flexible venue that’s buzzing with life, from gallery exhibitions (SCA was voted Best Art Gallery by Pacific Sun), and concerts to dance performances, panel discussions, and fundraisers. None of this would exist without the generosity of people like you.

The Vision Ahead: Phase 2 Buildout

Now we’re ready to take the next bold step. Phase 2 focuses on the finishing touches that will elevate the SCA experience for artists, audiences, and our entire community.

Your support will help us:

  • Install new interior lighting that enhances the atmosphere and showcases artwork in its best light.

  • Repaint the building exterior, giving it a fresh, modern look that reflects the creativity inside.

  • Acquire essential equipment and infrastructure to host more professional, diverse, and high-quality events.

  • These improvements will cost approximately $250,000, and every contribution moves us closer to completing the transformation.

Why Your Gift Matters

Unlike city-run facilities, SCA receives no municipal funding — our lease requires us to fund all renovations and improvements ourselves. That means every dollar donated goes directly toward creating and sustaining this vital arts hub.

When you give to the Phase 2 Buildout, you’re investing in:

  • Artists who need space to create, exhibit, and perform.

  • A community that values connection, creativity, and culture.

  • A legacy that keeps Sausalito’s artistic heritage alive and evolving.

Be Part of the Transformation

Your generosity powers everything we do. Together, we can finish what we started, turning this former bank into a lasting home for inspiration, collaboration, and artistic celebration.

Donate today and help us bring Phase 2 to life. Because when the arts thrive, the whole community shines.
