Come Discover What Our Artists Love
What inspires an artist to create? Come find out at SCA’s inaugural Artist Member Exhibition. This community exhibition brings together artists at every stage of their creative journeys, from those newly discovering their artistic voices to accomplished professionals. Each participating artist will share something they love to explore through art, whether it is a subject they return to, a material they love, a place that inspires them, a memory they hold close, or an idea that sparks their curiosity.
With a lively mix of styles, media, perspectives, and experience gathered under one roof, the exhibition offers a joyful look at the people, places, experiences, and possibilities that inspire our creative community. Come discover what inspires our artists and perhaps find a few new favorite things of your own.
Join us for the opening reception, meet members of the SCA artist community, and celebrate the season. Bring your family and friends. Everyone is welcome!

SCA Artist Members: Share A Few of Your Favorite Things
In the spirit of the season, we invite you to show us something you love to make, observe, remember, explore, or celebrate through your art.
You will be asked to complete the following sentence in 20 words or fewer that reflects the artwork you are sharing at SCA:
One of my favorite things is __________ because __________.
Your response will appear on the label beside your artwork, giving visitors and fellow artists a glimpse into what inspires you.
This exhibition is designed to celebrate the breadth of our creative community and give every participating artist an equal opportunity to share their work. All artistic styles, experience levels, and media are welcome.
Because this is an all-ages, family-friendly exhibition, please select artwork that is appropriate for a general audience and keep it PG-rated.
Your Display Space
Each participating artist will receive a designated display area. Within that space, you may show one artwork or several smaller pieces. The choice is completely up to you.
The final space allocation will depend on the total number and types of entries. We currently anticipate:
Approximately 24 by 24 inches for 2D artwork, including frames
A comparable area on a pedestal or table for 3D artwork
A comparable display area for jewelry
To keep the process fair, display locations will be randomly assigned.
Artists will install their own work in their designated spaces on December 16 from 3–6 PM.
Important Dates
Sign-Up Deadline: November 15
Space Confirmation: Week of November 23
Artist Installation: December 16, 3–6 PM
Opening Reception: December 16, 6–8 PM
Exhibition Dates: December 16–22
Art Pickup: December 23 or (Eva’s availability date)
Participation Requirements
Participation is open to current SCA Artist Members.
Not yet an Artist Member? Click here to become one.
Artists must register for the exhibition by November 15.
Each participating artist must sign up for one three-hour volunteer shift at SCA during the exhibition.
